John and Sparky are special guests on "Your Health," a daily show on the FamilyNet cable network (Airdate: April 29, 2005). The Hosts are Dr. Richard and Cindy Becker.

   

This one-hour show's theme is animal cancer. John tells Sparky's survival story and talks about increasing the odds. Richard and Cindy are wonderful hosts. Sparky was a perfect gentleman!

Sparky was featured on the popular national TV show "Extra" while undergoing treatment (2001).

  

   In February of 2001, Sparky went to the Angell Memorial veterinary facility in Boston, Massachusetts. The crew for ABC-TV's "Extra" was there, filming a segment about dogs with cancer. John and Josée were interviewed while Sparky was receiving a radiation treatment. 

   Sparky looked quite different then--he looked like a short-haired dog, having lost most of his coat due to chemotherapy and previous radiation!
   Sparky has also been featured on the Local News in New York several times--not because of his fight with cancer, but just because cameramen seem to single him out.
